1) The method of performing ablution:

1. is the same for both men and women.
2. differs between men and women.
3. is the same for both men and women with a few exceptions with regards to the sequence with which the body parts are washed.
4. differs for both men and women with regards to the quantity of water which is to be used.

2) On the Day of Judgment, the Muslim nation will be distinguished from other nations by:

1. the water dripping from their faces which they had washed for ablution (wudoo).
2. the bright cheerful smiles on their faces.
3. the emanating light from their body parts which they washed for ablution.
4. the unusual size of their hands and feet.

3) A detailed account of the method of performing ablution is found in:

1. the Holy Quran.
2. the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
3. previous scriptures.
4. historical accounts of our ancestors.

4) With regards to the intention preceding the performance of ablution (wudoo),:

1. the intention should be uttered loudly and clearly.
2. the intention is not a prerequisite for ablution.
3. the intention is in the heart and it is optional to utter it aloud.
4. the intention is in the heart and is not to be uttered.

5) Whilst performing ablution:

1. one should always start with the right side whenever washing the body parts.
2. one should always start with the left side whenever washing the body parts.
3. one need not be particular about which side to start with when washing the body parts.
4. one may alternate between left and right when washing the body parts.
5. There is no mention of which side should be washed first when washing the body parts.
